Getting started
- Allow location access and notifications. Precise Location is recommended.
- Tap “Add Location” on the home screen. Drag the map until the center pin marks your workplace, search for a place, or use your current location.
- Name the location, adjust the reminder radius, and enable arrival (clock-in) and/or departure (clock-out) reminders. Selecting a time clock app is optional.
- Save the location and check its reminder switches on the home screen. iOS triggers registered reminders when it detects an area transition.
Frequently asked questions
Why didn't I receive an arrival or departure reminder?
Check this app's location permission, Precise Location, and notification permission in iPhone Settings, and make sure the corresponding reminder switch is on. If you were already inside the area when you enabled an arrival reminder, you usually need to leave and then return. iOS area detection may be delayed, and the trigger boundary depends on location accuracy and your surroundings.
What if the blue dot or work location is inaccurate?
Enable Precise Location for this app and wait near a window or outdoors for a better fix. You can drag the map in the location editor to place the center pin where you want the reminder. Changing the location name does not move the pin.
Why isn't my time clock app in the list?
iOS does not let ordinary apps enumerate every installed app. Location Clock-In/Out only shows apps this version supports and the device reports as available. You can leave the selection empty and still receive reminders.
Does tapping a notification clock me in or out?
No. If you selected a time clock app, tapping the notification attempts to open it. You still need to complete that app's clock-in or clock-out process. Without a selected app, the notification opens Location Clock-In/Out.
Is reminder history a complete time sheet?
No. It records observable reminder deliveries and taps, not completed clock-ins or clock-outs. An untapped notification cleared from Notification Center may never appear in the history.
Can I use it without a SIM card or internet connection?
Local reminders do not depend on a developer server, but location detection depends on iOS and the device's environment. Maps, place search, and nearby-name suggestions need internet access; Wi-Fi can provide it without cellular service.
Will locations sync to a new phone?
The app has no account or built-in sync. Locations and reminder history are stored on the device. Whether a device backup includes them depends on your system backup settings. Save important location settings before uninstalling.
